Finding good wholesalers for home decor

Hi,

I want to start my own dropshipping webshop soon. Unfortunately I can't seem to find any good wholesalers for home decor.

So I am looking for good wholesalers, that is not AliExpress or anything like that, which supports dropshipping and is reasonably priced. Does someone have any advice where I can find some good wholesalers?

Thanks in advance!

    Hello jamierobertsjps,

Aliexpress is the right place if you want start an e-commerce without stock thanks to dropshipping. Products there are cheap and there is a wide range of suppliers. And it's free to use!

Yes it takes time to find the right product with the right supplier, but you need to know you'll also have to spend lot of time to advertise your products/shop too if you want a successful dropshipping business.

There is maybe an other solution I might be able to help you with, I invite you to contact me if want more information.

You need to contact the actual brands and see if they will dropship. If not, ask them if they can give you contact information for their distributors or large volume buyers. Many of those places WILL dropship and, most distributors carry many brands. It starts with phone calls. Very seldom can you find a quality dropshipper from an internet search.

If you are looking to have quality products and happy customers avoid Aliexpress they have slow shipping times and most of the product is junk (that is why it is so cheap)

Look at sites like Amazon, wayfair and etsy. even though it is not wholesale pricing you can usually put a nice mark up on the product and make a good profit, You will also have happier customers.

More than 90% of the items on Wayfair are dropshipped as are a huge percentage of things purchased on Amazon, Walmart.com, Sears.com and every other major retailer you can name. Wayfair only very recently started warehousing things that were bought in big quantities (it is unlikely that large furniture pieces that take up a ton of space fall into this category). They somehow found a way to get these big brands to dropship for them, which means you might be able to, too.

Absolutely the wrong thing to do. There are ZERO wholesalers on Amazon of any kind and certainly no home decor wholesalers of any decent reputation on eBay. Likewise, unless you want to be selling junk and have HUGE shipping fees, I'd stay away from anything on Alibaba/AliExpress for home furnishings (unless by "home decor", you mean cheap pots and pans/cutlery/utensils for the kitchen).

Like I said, do it the right way and contact the actual brands first to see what options they might have available or to get information on who their distributors are.

There is wholesalers on Amazon and Ebay but they only give retail price. It's not the right place to find your products. You can still try to deal with the wholesalers from your own country but where do you think their products come from? I already worked with US wholesalers, almost all their products are from China.

This year everyone talks about "dropshipping" as a new way to earn money. This trend exists thanks to Aliexpress and Alibaba. Most retailers using this system, if not all of them, source their products there. if you don't believe me there is plently of articles talking about it.

The shipping fees on Aliexpress are not huge at all if you ship small packets. Sometimes, even often, Aliexpress retailers offer free shipping. Why? Because China is the cheapest country to ship small packets from. I invite you to learn more about the international mail system (Universal Postal Union) to understand why it's so cheap.

If you are interested with bigger items then it will be more complicated. One of my customer wanted to dropship Soft Ice Cream machines. But the shipping fees were too high to be a valid solution. In this case it is better to find wholesalers in your own country or to propose group buy solutions to your customers.

To say you are only going to find junks from Aliexpress and Alibaba is like saying products from China are junk. Apple products are Made in China and I bet you never heard complaints of Apple products being cheap quality. And it's just one example among many others.
