Profit margin for new dropshipping business on men's clothing and accessories

Dear friends,

I am a new dropshipper, with no experience till now, trying to launch my first e commerce business with men's clothing and accessories. Trying to figure out what my profit margin should be, I came across a looot of different answers and strategies of various dropshippers, so I am a little bit confused here.

Could someone with more experience than mine be kind enough to advise me on that? I will truly appreciate it.

    Use the search button type in drop shipping. Review the threads in this section and look at the information that appeals with you. Are there any posters worth listening to? See if they seem legitimate. You can easily be missed led here bye someone trying to sell you a guide and has no real world experience.

    We base our prices on what the online competition is selling those same items for - the same thing most consumers will do. Profit margin really plays no role here if you cannot have a somewhat competitive price or offer some sort of incredible service others don't. I know some people don't agree with that but when your prices are considerably higher than everyone else's and you aren't giving them anything else in return for those high prices (like free next day delivery), you are severely limiting the number of people who will buy from you to only the dumbest of the dumb.

      Dear Sir,
      thank you very much for your answer,it has been truly enlightening.I plan on offering a free shipping service,but since I would like my distribution to be worldwide,next day delivery will be very difficult.I will definitely keep your advice in consideration,obviously profit margin is not that important if there is no profit at all!Again thank you very much,I appreciate your answer.
