Affiliate Marketer vs Dropship - What would you choose?

I guess before I put up the question, I should clarify - this is mostly geared towards the Alibaba universe.

Would you recommend getting into aliexpress affiliate program or just dive straight into drop shipping?

on the surface, it is the same amount of work. The plan is to do some store branding and then market products with short campaigns (paid + organic traffic)

Feedback from experienced affiliates/dropshippers appreciated.

    It may seem like the same amount of work but it really isn't. You are not going to be able to advertise the same way as an affiliate. In fact, many platforms will not let you advertise affiliate products. That means you will have to put in much more work getting your pages to rank organically and doing social marketing, although there is less work dealing with customers. Also, the payoff will always be higher for dropshipping versus affiliate.

    Like most people who are either dropshipping or using the stock and ship method, we started out in affiliate and when we saw how much more money we could make selling versus recommending, we never looked back.

    Its all a type of affiliate marketing marketing but I would say digital products simply because the commission as an affiliate is much, much higher than physical products simple because of the overhead.

    Although moving product from say Amazon and Costco I have given myself over 100% return. If your an affiliate selling physical products your talking between 4 and 10% commission. Verses moving a product from one network to another marketing up the price and keeping the difference.

    Physical products sell much easier than digital products and there is a larger marketplace for these physical products. Something people can see, feel and touch drives more of a buying emotion.

      Can I point out to you that 75% commission on a $50 product is $40 while at 4% commission on at $1,500 product is $60?

      That 10 commissions at 75% of $50 is $400, 100 commissions at 20% of a $20 is also $400?

      I am saying, it's more complicated than the percentage you get and, therefore, the percentage you get should not be driving your decision.

    Hi, I would recommend you to do Affiliate Marketing. I have tried Aliexpress as well but the big disadvantage with that program are the long shipping times, in general 20-40 days and customers want the product now. You will have lot of complaints about the delivery. Some people look down on Affiliate Marketing because they think you make only a few bucks per product. But if you are smart you only promote affiliate stuff with high payouts. I am involved in a program that pays up to $5000 per single sale. PM me if interested. Because you have to promote your products anyway, whether you advertise for a product where you make $1 from or a product you make $5000 from.

    I would lean toward drop shipping, but not using the Shopify platform. That platform will cost you easily $150 per month if you use the much-needed plugins.

    The better option is to use Woo Commerce and set up a Strip Shopping cart. For a one time cost, use this plugin

    You simply decide on your niche, and then find some popular items. Graphics is the MOST important aspect.

    After you have say... 6 products listed, then go to FB and drive some highly targeted ads to a FB page or group that you create that will link to your store.

    No way you CAN'T make money!

    Niche targeted products on Aliexpress think of Dentists for example find decorative teeth, teeth toys, etc. Priced around 1-2 usd each and start giving away the prizes. Hope it helps!

    In my opinion you need to use high ticket programs that sell on autopilot ( funnel integrated)

    you can make $5K - $15K per month just by using FB and do simple posts
