I work in a "F&B - FMCG" company that sells a number of brands which are premium and top in their category.
We have an e-Commerce company website where customers can directly buy online from.
Let me mention some website data also
Approximately an average of 500 active users on the website every month
65% of traffic goes to shop, Average 7 orders a month.
Previously we tried printing discount vouchers and give it out in related events, which generated some sales but not anything more than 1.5% of the vouchers.
We've also tried providing some companies which we have done products sampling at, some employee discount code to use on the website, which also resulted in the same percentage of sales.
We are very active on Instagram and have between 5k-10k followers, which we also post on holidays and on occasions a discount code, also it would result in 0-1 sales.
We have waived delivery charges and now it's free, still didn't affect sales that much.
We also provide free samples of products whenever we get an order, for people to try and re order, which also did not result in higher sales.
We are selling our products on Amazon, and it is doing very good.
I have a few questions and I'd like to know your opinion.
- Why do you think our sales and traffic are low?
- What do you suggest to do to get more traffic and sales?
- We aim to hit 15 orders a day, starting with 5 and increasing, possible? how?
- Do you think SEO, website re-design, social media ads, SEM, would work?
- What do you think we can do offline to increase sales?
I'm keen to know what do you guys think and if you are facing the same issues and how would you react and solve the 5 mentioned points.
