Hi, I'm new here so I'm sorry if this is posted in the wrong place or if this has been asked before. I couldn't find it while searching the forum or google so I hope you guys can help.
I have a website with a lot of content that I write myself. I want to add a webshop to it through Aliexpress affiliate. Since my website has a specific niche I thought I could capatalize on that by adding Aliexpress products that relate to it and get a share of the profit. I've looked around and found that Aliplugin is the best plugin to do this with.
But here's the thing: every article or tutorial about the plugin is about creating a whole new website and theme. I already have a website and a theme, I just want an extra webshop page built in. Is that possible with the Aliplugin?

You can add WooCommerce to a WordPress site, which enables you to list actual products for sale on your site or buttons that lead to affiliate sites.

But to upload all these products from Aliexpress I need to find another plugin to get it all in Woocommerce right? Also, i tried uploading Woocommerce but it isnt compatible with my theme.

So Aliplugin seems like the easier way to go, but again: is it possible to create a webshop page within a website with it or not?

You HAVE TO have Woo on the site to use an Ali Plugin. Have you actually tried installing Woo on your theme? Although many themes are not specifically supported for Woo, many work just fine with it.

If your theme won't support Woo, you need to ask yourself this - is your theme really so important that you are wiling to sacrifice the ability to make money through Ali? I can tell you for sure that it isn't. Nobody cares about the theme except for the website owner. The only thing visitors care about is the information on a site, how easy it is to find what they are looking for and order from a site and that it has some sort of semblance of professionalism that they can trust. If the look of a website mattered at all, CraigsList would have been out of business the day they set up shop instead of becoming the multi-billion dollar company it is today (and still retaining that old, crappy looking design).

Thank you for your advice. I figured you were absolutely right about the theme so I changed it and bought AliPlugin.
But AliPlugin doesn't make a single page in a theme. It only seems to work in one of its own AliPlugin themes. Is this correct or am I missing sometthing?

    Hi Sarah,

You probably have to go through the Woocommerce setup process and set your homepage to the defined store page.

The AliExpress plugin will add products to your Woocommerce store. It doesn't really add any pages.

It seems like the AliExpress plugin is shipped with a couple of special themes that should get you started quickly, but in general any theme that support Woocommerce should work more-or-less out of the box.

But you have to setup Woocommerce first.

Disclaimer: I have never tested the AliExpress plugin, but I have built a few Woocommerce stores.
