Hello fellas, After two years of thinking and hesitating about starting this, after really being unhappy with my work and all the stress and pressure that my boss is giving me at work and the low salary I'm getting, I finally got the courage to do it and work for it, in hope to change my depressive situation and being for once satisfied about myself.

I chose the easiest and fastest method (in my opinion ofc): The 'free product, just pay 4.99$ shipping' focusing on women accessories/fashion niche.

I created an Instagram page, and i started to post 5 posts per day and following the people who are interested in my niche. I chose to advertise my products by facebook ads and google adwords.

After a month of hard working, being ambitous and optimistic about this (watching the people on YouTube being successfull and all the success stories that are telling). I wanted to tell you guys that not everyone is successfull after all.

What I spent:

7$ for webhosting and domain purchase.
15$ for buying an Insagram Influencer.
25$ on facebook ads.
25$ on google adwords.
107 posts on Instagram and following 3388 person.
AND ALOT OF WORK LEARNING/SETTING UP AN ECOMMERCE WEBSITE.

What i've got:

9$ in product profit (3 buyers).
366 instagram followers. THAT'S IT.

Conclusion: I'm certainly not going to quit my poorly job. All comments and advises are more than welcomed in order to help me improve my marketing strategy [link removed by moderator]

You weren't unsuccessful. You just found a way/strategy that doesnt work.

Besides, you learnt how to create and set up a website; you learnt how to create FB ads, how to set up AdWords ads, how to navigate Instagram efficiently.

Maybe you should try tweaking your strategy a bit. You got 3 buyers. And over 300 followers. Not bad I think. It is only your first month. Most businesses see a loss before seeing profit.

You now have a foundation. Try new strategies and build further.

    Here are a couple things:

First of all, forget about Instagram if you are just starting out.

You want to test what you are doing FAST to see if it will work. The best way to do this is with Facebook ads.

$25 is nothing, but it is still possible to find a winner with this amount. Facebook ads all comes down to knowing what you are doing and being able to read the data, so you don't end up spending too much money on a loser, and scaling a winner when you have one!

Forget about following people on Instagram at first....Just fo straight facebook ads to test your audiences/products first.

Also, $4.99 for a fre + shipping is really low, I like to charge $10.97

        Both works.

But I prefer to start with free + shipping offers to start collection data quicker and make money with upsells

You won't if you know what you are doing.

Drop shipping is probably the easiest $ fastest way to make money online right now.....You just need to know what you are doing.

Hi! I'm trying to set up woocommerce site but along with completing the process, it directs me to bluehost and ask for subscription fee. Is there any other way to start free without paying for subscription first?

      I'm newbie here.

I am assuming you are talking about the web hosting service. If so, there are few FREE hosting services like:
        000 Web Host
        Amazon Web Service
        Ali Cloud Hosting

The WooCommerce drop shipping plugin I was talking about itself is FREE and open source. So I assumed you just need a free web hosting service.

    Hey there,
What i recommend is starting with Facebook ads as some of the others have said. I prefer to test products before really diving into something & creating different social media accounts.

And have you also thought Instagram influencers ? I see some others getting good results with it.

When it comes to drop shipping though, its really investing in email marketing, and Facebook lookalike audiences that makes the difference. More backed stuff.

    Hope this helps!

I generated $185 on my second day opening my store. What I do is post to facebook groups in my niche which is retro video games and systems. I find this is better then paying facebook ads. I have two accounts on facebook and post up to 20 gaming groups which 15 are classic retro gaming groups. You will want to contact an admin to ask if you can promote your online store. Most of them will accept if you offer them a free gift or a nice discount code to test your product. I have two groups that post my post to the top category with 30000 followers.
