Dropshipping Clothes?

Hi guys, I did a load of research for a clothing site and was just about to get it underway when I realized that out of everything, clothing probably has the highest returns rate due to items not fitting (sizing issues). I don't know if this is a fact, but it seems likely.

I was going to use aliexpress as the supplier, but with items taking about 2 weeks to arrive anyway is this a viable option?
Everything will be made in China too, so the sizing charts will be different.

Should I pick a different niche, or do you guys think this could work?

Thanks for your time

Ben

Personally, I'd stick to accessories because they do not have sizes.

Dropshipping has such low margins that returns would push you into the red. Good choice getting away from clothing. I agree, accessories would be a better niche.

There are couple of clothing dropshipper's out there who ships out/delivers within days.
for returns there's always a way round each returns, all products/Niche has its own pros and cons but i'll say you should focus on profit margin and of course good/reliable supplier for that product!

    Hi Ben

You should pick another niche here because as you noted Shipping and returns can create quite a hassle with clothing and in dropshipping this is a serious issue because you don't have the stock.

So, I'd suggest you to go for another niche which has either one-size-fits-all measure like ponchos or shawls or stalls or go for something different altogether. For more suggestions on dropshipping, you can also check the WooDropship blog.

The hardest part of dropshipping will always be finding a quality supplier who provides good margins. People protect that information like gold, so I find it very unlikely that you will get responses from anyone in the industry who knows of that kind of supplier. Some people are stupid, though, so I guess you can hope for that.
