How to become a successful affiliate vendor

Hi all this is my first post.

I'm considering purchasing an existing business that sells a financial course. It currently does six figures in sales but hasnt done anything with affiliates, and I think if I can learn the affiliate game I could increase revenues drastically. The initial cost of the course is around $200 and the monthly recurring program cost is $75+. He is doing around $15k/mo, half being recurring business. From what I can tell the seller converts well on his current web traffic, and is mostly depending on organic traffic to sell the course.

If I were to purchase the business, what is the first step to quickly increase revenues via affiliates?

Thank you!

This is too much unnecessary work, and I for one wouldn't start right in with affiliates. I would start with that buying audience that he's already built, be very sure you know exactly how he built it, and then get to know them. You don't know yet what your next move is until you know them better.

You have a golden opportunity to serve them and be served in the process. Talk to them, survey them, and find out what they really want. Then develop higher ticket items that will provide that, much higher. I wouldn't think so much of "quickly" increase revenues as exponentially increase revenues. The best way to increase revenues is to increase the value you provide those customers and that audience.

What immediate and burning problem do they have around this topic, and how can you solve it elegantly and completely while providing 10x value for their money? It's like a puzzle, it's fun!

And when you figure out how to do that you can charge whatever you want and won't need 175 customers a month to make $15k. Of course, that's just one option, and if it doesn't sound fun to you it's not your best. Affiliates are cool too.
