Looking for a chat solution that lets us see and interact with customers on our site without requiring them to click on "online chat" first - offering a helping hand so to speak.

Any recommendations?

      I haven't used LiveChat. Yes, you can initiate a chat with a visitor with Zopim. Just don't be surprised when they freak out and immediately leave the site.

    Zopim is quite easy to use. I never had used it for very long as I didn't feel I needed it anymore but I have friends who only has good things to say about zopim.

    I suggest you massenger bot. Go to youtube and search how to create chat bot for websites in massenger. You get your answers. Facebook massenger is best chat bot and if someone chat with your bot you get automatically interaction on Facebook also. Massenger bot also collect emails from user chat. Today 60% of webmasters prefer massenger bot

      I don't know where that "60% of webmasters prefer massenger [sic] bot" figure comes from but I suspect close to zero percent of customers prefer them. It is the online chat version of entering a ton of numbers on a phone to try to get a question answered and almost never getting the answer you need. I can see people screaming at their computers now "REPRESENTATIVE!" or "GIVE ME A FRIGGIN' HUMAN BEING!".
