I want to set up a new shopping e-commerce site with about 500 products. What are people called who spend all those hours entering each product and seo for people like me?

In the past we've done one of two things:
    1. Had the web developer do it.
    2. Hired a VA(virtual assistant) to do it (one with SEO experience).

I would recommend hiring a VA off UpWork and having them punch in your products and what not. That being said you'll most likely need the copy beforehand so if you have that it'll be super easy - if you don't just hire a writer to whip up some copy for you!

You may be able to find someone who can copy and paste product descriptions on places like UpWork or Fiver but don't count on any of them actually being able to write (despite what they say). Real writers cost real money. Also, don't count on any of them knowing much about SEO.

They're called VAs (Virtual Assistants). You hire them to do what you want them done on your page or business. You can find great people at Onlinejobs. Just create a job post for you to gauge the interest of workers for the work that you require them to do.
