Slow sales after eBay update in April 2018

Hello guys,

I'm dropshipping on eBay for about 2 years now. Everything was running smoothly with a progress every month until this April. After the last eBay upgrade (store and catalog) I started losing sales. I have a great drop of something around 50%. Do you experience the same?

I've tried a couple of fixes but nothing helped till now:
1) Changed shipping from address to be the same as the one on the listings
2) Made all listings promoted with 1%
3) Change the promoted listing percentage to 3-5.
4) Add a lot of product to the buybox

While I still keep listing new items on daily basis and removing the ones which does not sell. No results till now. Actually I'm starting to wonder if I will manage to beat the problem?

Do you have any other suggestions on how to get the sales back to normal?

    Have you checked to see if any new competitors have arrived in the market? Or whether an existing competitor has upped their game?

      Yes. I have around 1000 items and made a regular sales before they released the update. After that the sales dropped and I have no sales on items which were selling regularly before that.

      They changed the store subscription plans and they introduced the product catalog along with a buybox. Obviously there is also a change in the search algorithm - Cassini - as there can't be such big loss of sales and visits.

        Well, unless global demand for your products has suddenly dried up, someone is successfully selling them. Try using eBay's sold listings search for the same or similar items and see what the sellers are doing differently to you.

          Thanks for the replies Frank but I don't think that it could happen suddenly for 50% of my products. I have days with 2-4 sales which is a lot of regress.

            I can attest almost nothing is selling now. You could list hundreds of items for free. Now it's only 50. Could be the beginning of the end for this platform.

    Dropshippin is going to die.

    At least go to shopify and resell items purchased on alibaba but better change your business

      Did you rear the original post ? His sales went down after Ebay made a update. Where in the original post was anything mentioned about price.

      Yes, I already answered this question. I don't think that for a day the competition and the prices of the other sellers are changed for 50% of my listings.

      I'm still going down and still looking for an advice..

    Try searching for your products using a VPN or in incognito mode. eBay has been limiting the views of sellers they suspect of being drop-shippers, even though you changed the mailed from address you may have already been flagged. They aren't warning users or telling them about this, I read about this in ecommerce bytes blog.
