Radical dropshipping shift?

Hello there,

It could not sound like a popular idea today but I believe we will see a major shift in dropshipping. It becomes harder and harder to find and compete in new niches. It becomes more and more challenging to do dropshipping business.

I'm thinking about a pretty radical idea to shift competition towards better service for buyers. The service one gets from AliExpress is really low level. So maybe it makes sense to compete on the service level. This is something we already see on marketplaces like Amazon (different sellers charging differently for same items). But if some marketplace would have much more transparent and more reliable ratings/review system it should be possible to compete on the service level that buyers appreciate a lot.

Or am I wrong (again)?

Of course you are right. Using AliExpress for fulfillment, however, dooms you to poor service and questionable product quality in most cases. The key to providing high quality products and top-notch service is to deal directly with real brands (or their real distributors), who have a stake in their reputation. Of course, because they have a stake in their reputation, they don't let just anyone sell their products. You have to convince them that you are going to represent their brand well.
