It's not the length of time, but the number of impressions, clicks and conversions that dictate the success of a split test.

I see... then its a wise move to put a rather big budget just to split test and finding the right product isn't it??

Anyway, do you have any threshold on how much impression you usually get before finding that this product works and the other is not works??

At least several hundred clicks and probably 10 times that many impressions is the only way you are going to have any kind of actionable data. An average website converts at somewhere between 1% and 2% (sometimes lower for more expensive products and a little higher for really cheap products). How could you possible decide whether or not your ads work if they only have 30 or 40 clicks? You may not get any sales in the first 150 clicks but get three sales in the next 150, giving you a 1% conversion rate.

Test it on FB , or you can collect some social data , pay attention on "Views" , "Comments","Share"and etc There're lots of product hunting tools in the market , if you don't mind a little charge , also you can try them .Such like Pexda , Ecomhunt and etc.

With the right offer coupled with the right targeting, you could be profitable from Day 1.

Takes a bit of studying and there's a process, but once you get it you'll be able to generate sales on demand.
