Wholesale Business Supplying to Drop shippers

Hi everyone,

I have a fashion wholesale business based in the UK.

I have my own website built using Big Commerce which I sell B2B on but customers have to buy in pack sizes of 6 pieces.

However, I want to start selling my products to dropshippers so they can list all my products on their website and then forward the orders to me to process them.

So what I want to know is what would be the best way to set this all up? Ideally everything will be integrated so when I load a new style on my store they have access to it. Then when an order is placed on the dropshipper website then it will be posted automatically back to my website for my warehouse to process.

Is there a system or something that I can add to Big Commerce to achieve the above?

Ideally I would like to speak to someone who has experience as a dropshipper and know how that side of things work as I want to make it as easy as possible for me and the dropshipper.

Thanks

I'm not sure why you necessarily need a system where orders automatically get forwarded to you when they are placed on other websites. Yeah, I know there are a whole lot of very lazy people out there who might find that attractive, but I know that I would never want things set up that way. As an online retailer, I want to have the ability to scrutinize an order before it is automatically filled by a supplier. This gives me the opportunity to check it for fraud and cancel the order before it is filled.

I'd set up a special login for each approved retailer where they can access their wholesale prices and place orders individually on your website, shipping to their customer's address. If THEY want something automated, they can certainly set that up themselves through their shopping cart platform. You don't need to concern yourself with that.

      Thanks for your insight.

Is that how all dropshippers work then? They would login to my website to place the order? I was under the impression that things were more automated?

Things can't possibly be automated from your side unless the people have built a website on your site. The automation has to come from the website that is taking the orders (i.e. the retailer's site).

Now, if you want to set up an affiliate program instead of a dropship program, THAT would be automated from your site.

And no, that is not how ALL dropshippers work. Some of them (most, actually) do not have an online ordering system at all. You have to email them or call them with your orders.Of course, the vast majority of people here who think that the only way to dropship is through AliExpress would not know that.
