Using Ebay as adverting

My company makes custom designed footwear, but I am thinking about adding lots of our "pre-esigned" items to eBay. I think the eBay store will let me list 150 items for the 20/month.

The main goal of this would be for our brand to show up in search engine results, and possibly get people to search for our brand when they see us on Ebay.

Has anyone ever done this, and if so, did it increase sales/exposure?
