My Own Credit Card Brand

Does anyone know a good approach for starting my own branded credit card? It would seem the best approach would be to white label/private label through a third party bank. I have good quality converting traffic and am running affiliate credit card offers, but I'd like to start my own. Any suggestions?

Thank you!

It certainly starts with a bank. That's about all I can tell you. I can't imagine there are a whole lot of people on the planet that can answer your "how to start" question, let alone people here on Warrior Forum.

There's plenty of extremely general information online if you search for "how to start a credit card company". I can't imagine all of the resources you would have to have in place for such an endeavor - massive marketing to businesses to accept the card as well as consumers to obtain that card, agreements with credit card processing companies, insanely secure systems to protect that card data and electronic transactions, 24-7-365 customer service agents and massive amounts of money, to name just a few.

I guess I just don't get it. Normally, you see a major retail outlet that decides to create their own branded credit card so that people have to shop there to use it (like my wife's Kohl's card).

I'm not sure what, if any, the advantage to having your company's name on the credit card is. Do you make more than you would make as an affiliate if your name is on the card - "XYZ Company MasterCard"?

If so, go for it, but again, I doubt anyone here at WF has any experience in setting up a branded credit card. I'm also still guessing that the investment is formidable.

It is possible. But not worth the pain, unless you have millions of dollars cash to lend. You can go through affinity cards route..meaning you can sell a cobranded credit card by tie-up with a bank. The bank will take care of everything including issuing cards and customer care..basically it is the bank's product with you as co-brand and marketer.(but you have to be a BIG brand name..and commit for x number of sign ups
The bank may give you a % of profit earned through your card transactions

If you interested, youc an try through prepaid debit card route. There are many financial inst. and banks offering white label services
