I am planning to start a dropshipping business but I am stuck in one thing. I have seen some products which carry their brand logo on it. Should I sell such products?

    I would advise against it.

You may get sales but you are risking your store. If you are wanting to start a brand you will want to have products you can white label!

But how much will it cost to put the white label on products?

Ideally what you want are products that do not have any branding on the item itself. There may be a brand associated with it from the company that manufacturs it, but you want something that is not branded.

Until you are ready to start buying anough quantity at once, you don't want to start claiming any kind of brand of your own. That's just my opinion.

I would start a general store that does not focus on one kind of product, but lets you sell all kinds of products. Dropship whatever products your research tells you are winners that you can generate sales with. Once you find some winners, then you can start thinking about making your own brand. You can then put your brand on them, and continue to sell them through your general store, but then start your branded store also and sell them there as well.

I see that's the best way to build the brand. I may start planning to sell only those products which have high orders with no branding on the product itself.

      Thanks for your suggestion Michael.

If you are looking for advice on how to white label your own products, Walter Hay would be the best one here to chat with. He goes by "Importexport" here on the forum.

Basically you are allowed to do that, you can dropship from certain companies official Asian manufacturers..

Now your problems will start with the payment gateways who will start requesting agreements and certifications from you, which assuming you dont have, will get your payments to shut down sooner or later.

I think the question that needs to be asked here is where are you getting the products from? If you contacted the actual brands and they are willing to dropship for you, by all means, dropship those actual brands. If you are talking about Chinese-sourced "brand name" merchandise, RUN! It's is guaranteed to be counterfeit. In other words, there are no real household brand names with products on AliExpress.
