If anyone has any experience with home security system sales, please let me know. I am thinking about an Amazon affiliate store. I'm trying to find the best model to use. Any ideas would be most appreciative.

      Yes, was wondering if anyone new what good themes and/or plugins are out there for Amazon affiliates. I want to develop my domain, securitysystemsforhome.com , maybe a review site or something and link to Amazon for security systems.

        The way I would personally do it would be with really good, high-value content on home security and link out to highly rated products/services.

        Here are a list of 100 or so home security blogs you can check out... you might find something useful that you can model for your own site

        For someone with "website Development" in their signature, this seems like an odd question. Any and every theme is "Good" for affiliate marketing with Amazon. I personally like to only use a select amount of themes in my development process due to the nature of the learning curve within each theme.

        I think the best setup for affiliate marketing for Amazon falls to StoreFront and the use of WP All Imports plugin. I have probably built somewhere in the 1000 range in terms of site with this Theme so I pretty much know it up one side down the other.

        Because it is built with the actual Wordpress framework, updates are seamless and far less hassle than most other themes on the market. Tutorials to get you what it is you want from the theme are just short of endless, and the SEO ability of the theme is pretty decent ( for a wordpress theme )

        The TRUE magic is in the WP All Imports plugin. It not only updates and maintains your listings but it changes the buying experience. It uses the woocommerce shopping cart ( so your customers "shop" on your site ) and once they decide to buy they are sent right to the Amazon purchase portal - it is a game changer.

        But If he idea is to create just a simple review site. use 2020 or whatever it just doesnt matter... You can spend endless amounts of time with trivial things like themes and so on or you can start writing and developing traffic. If you had your site up and running a year ago where would you be today?

    I was mostly on Facebook and it did really well for me. I did spend for some ads but the results were pretty great. I used to sell cctv, dvr's and such. You might want to try that approach too.

    A proven security model business. (not online)

    True story of a very successful operation.

    Company set up to sell Peepholes for front doors (translate to now - webcam apps security front door)

    Old way.

    Send out team of commission only employees to "door knock" appartments.

    Favoured targets small blocks or housing estates.

    Team member has one battery powered drill with right size drill bit and bag of ready to install "peepholes"

    Only knock on doors WITHOUT peephole already.

    Tell door opener about THREAT and SOLUTION

    Take money, install peephole and move on.

    Highly successful about 25 years ago.

    NEW Model.

    Find doors without SMART bells.

    Promote smart bell to those prospects.

    Upsell full security system or other smart devices etc.

    Now IF you can't knock on doors where you are located THEN you need to find a way to get people asking you about the SYSTEMS you offer.

    Sell systems as there is a much higher return.
