Hello all, brand new here and I see a ton of great information!

I am setting up an online e-commerce consignment business and am looking for solution to handle two processes simultaneously.

When a seller sends me a request to have their item listed, I would send them an approval with two items:
1. Terms and Conditions: outlines the payment policy
2. Credit card authorization: capture their credit card information for future charge

Item 2 is only executed when their item fails the quality check or does not sell and they would like it back, I would charge them the cost of shipping.

I am looking for a platform that allows me to send them one link to complete both of those actions above, but the item 2 would just hold on to the credit card information for x period of time so as to charge only when appropriate.

BTW - drop shipping for this business is not an option, as the nature of the items is highly customized and would require an intermediary quality check.

    You did not state what eCommerce shopping cart platform you are using, so it would be hard for anyone to be specific.

    That said, you just need to create a pretty basic credit card form page, asking for their name, cc#, expiration date, billing address and CVV code. (It should go without saying that this page needs to be https.)

    At the bottom of the form would be a mandatory checkbox saying that they have read the terms and conditions (have a link next to the checkbox to a separate page that opens in a popup or new window/tab).

      Thank you. I am using Shopify, but for now this correspondence can be done by sending an email to an external payment processing platform. I was avoiding taking that route so as to not hold on to credit card info. I was hoping there would be a service that could allow for this like Wave or Square.
