How to get cheap traffic for amazon affiliate site?

Hi,

I have amazon affiliate sites where I promote computers. I get around $10-12 commission on average as Amazon pays 2.5% commissions.

Where to get traffic? Facebook ads is too expensive for it as it costs around 7-20 cents on average. I need around 1-5 cent clicks as otherwise, I would have breakeven or negative ROI%

Thanks!

This is why affiliate marketing is so difficult for so many niches - there just isn't enough commission to afford advertising.

I doubt you will ever find clicks as cheap as you need them in your incredibly competitive niche. The only thing you can hope to do is rank organically or get a big social following - both of which are free.

Hi - It would help to know what else you may have tried in order to make concrete suggestions: do you have a social presence? Have you done any blogging on your own site or guest-blogging to help build awareness/establish authority? Etc

I clicked on the link in your signature and "server not found" was the response.

Dave is right. And I want to add: can you find someone to pay more than amazon.com to promote?

I mean, there are only so many ways you can improve:
    1. improve conversion rates
    2. get paid more per sale
    3. get other traffic sources.

I saw some mentions of ranking organically and blogging - but nobody mentioned SEO in specific terms. Do not underestimate the importance of generating high-quality content that employs SEO tactics.

If you're entirely unfamiliar, SEO (search engine optimization) is the practice of improving your website's position in search engine results. That's done by researching keywords that people enter into search engines when they're looking for products or services like yours and using those keywords strategically throughout your content so you rank higher in the search results for those terms.

You should begin by starting a blog where customers can find valuable info. Use it simultaneously as a way for you to connect with your customers, give them something to come back and visit your website for besides purchasing, and at the same time incremently bring your website's recognizability up to par with your competitors.

You can also use SEO tactics on social media platforms like Facebook, where you can also improve your ranking in search results.

This was a super basic overview, but I do hope it was helpful!

  • Hi,

These are the factors that affiliates must take into account before selecting an affiliate vertical:

    - Competition - Is the affiliate vertical too competitive to get organic traffic. For example online gambling is extremely difficult.

    - Commission Rates - I recommend a % Commission and lifetime so that you keep earning commissions for the lifetime of the customers that you refer. Instead of a flat CPA only paid once.

    - Go for affiliate programs that pay high commissions in the region of 30% and over

    - Also promote affiliate programs in the SAAS - Software As A Service space. Yes it takes a bit longer but once you get started the dinero will start coming your way.

Why keep promoting the same old products plus there are still opportunities to rank in the software vertical.

    Good luck

My SEO is best still I am not getting sale and traffic.
