My products are attacked by competitors on Amazon every week. Does anybody have a universal solution to the problem?

Maybe someone has contacts in Amazon that would help them figure out how to fight the competitors.

Usually these are unscrupulous sellers from China, in an attempt to topple people like yourself & to push their products up the ranking system. Crooks like those are hard to fight, but you just have to keep plugging away at it.

The only way to keep your products safe from the mappers or attackers is to get your brand registered and product registered by government authorities. When your brand is registered then you should contact amazon and then register your brand on amazon so that they keep your listings and product safe from mappers and attackers.

Do you own the BUY NOW box? If you made the listing you would do automatically I think. If so make your listing better. Say you are a US seller or can be trusted more than other sellers. Offer a free gift or discount on future purchase or anything that could sway buyers to you/away from the others.

If you do not 'own' the box - or even if you do - you can create a new listing. An updated product, for example a new edition of a book, could need an updated listing, as it's a slightly different product. Don't think you are limited by being restricted to the bar code Amazon asks for. You can try the EAN or ISBN or another number that's legit enough to pass as an identifier. You can buy some bar codes and use them. And don't forget you can put the item in a different category. Amazon say they don't like it but I sold DVDs in the DVD Accessories section without permission to sell DVDs. I wouldn't advise it but a small 'mistake' can be explained to Amazon's satisfaction.

In any case always give the best possible customer service and make your listings the best they can be.
