As an Amazon seller, my sales did not increase on prime day, how about yours?

We never participate. Amazon still makes it's billions while retailers all feel the need to slash their prices and profits because "everyone else is doing it". Our prices are our prices and we're not going to help Amazon make even more profits from an invented day where they make more profits at the expense of their retailers.

Not an Amazon seller, but I am a frequent Amazon buyer and was not impressed with Prime Day this year.

I did not see 'great deals' this year on anything I might want or need. Other members of the family said the same and usually we do buy something on Prime Days.

The price cuts seemed minimal and the products offered often seemed to be the low end or less popular versions of a product.

This matches my experience very closely. Felt like far less of a well thought-out "event" this year. Perhaps the early-pandemic demand surge and consequent Prime Day delays (in a "normal" year, July seems a better month for this than now) stunted some of their ability to make it compelling.

My guess was that individual sellers anticipated more business due to 'stay at home' during the pandemic...after all, that's what they've been telling us for months now.

Amazon business has been WAY up in the past 6 months or so - no reason for deep discounts.

True. The stay at home trend in effect may have pulled forward Prime signups and sales significantly enough to dis-incentivize a big Prime Day effort

I didn't offer anything special and got no change in sales.
