Need A Shopify App!!!

Hi everybody,

I recently looked for an app in the Shopify app store but frustrated and disappointed as I have failed to find an exact match for the Shopify app.

The app should be able to get questions from buyers and mail them to the people who have already bought the product for them to answer NOT ME!!!

For example:
Just a section in the store that has questions and answers. The only thing I'd really want it to do is to send an email to customers who bought that item. So if a person is looking at a pair of pants and they have a question. That question will be emailed to people who have bought that pair of pants. I want it to be exactly like Amazon's q&a section.

  • All I know is that as a customer, I'd hate to keep getting emails every time some other prospective customer had a question about something I had bought. I know I don't receive any emails from Amazon with questions from other people about things I have purchased.

    • So, how does the amazon q&a works or can you give me any insight or advice on how to do this?

  • Assumptions will cause you no end of problems....you are looking for 'just like amazon' but haven't taken the time to know how Amazon works when it comes to Q&A.

As a buyer - not my job to answer questions for you. I would quickly write off (as in unsubscribe from the list or buy no further products) any seller who expected me to do his customer service.

We all have ideas at times that would save us time or money...but before acting you need to look at the issue/problem/solution from all sides to see if it makes sense.

What Amazon knows is there are many people with the time and inclination to answer questions...so Azon provides a path for that to happen.

  • Keep in mind that there are other ways to automate getting product-specific customer feedback that do work well.

The judge.me app sends out automated emails to past customers for product reviews. While it's not the same as product-specific FAQs, it at least offers the opportunity for customers to provide their opinion of a product and you sometimes learn a few things that you may not have known about those products.

Who knows? Maybe when people come to review a product, they see questions they can answer and provide their 2 cents at that time.

  • cancel Shopify and build up your webshop with Wordpress/Woocommerce and your problems will dissapear. There are thousands of free plugins you can install in Wordpress/Woocommerce with 2 clicks, any functionality you may need. Its self hosted solution so you ned to have some tech skills or hire someone. There is no other ecommerce platform with so many free plugins as Wordpress/Woocommerce
  • Shopify is a secure and valuable platform in e-commerce. If you can want to grow your business then Shopify is a good e-commerce platform.

  • Hey don't know if you got your answer but to my experiences, the Q&A section is not that necessary to put in on your online store. Plus, we have the Amazon Q&A section so that you can learn more about what buyers are expecting about the product (you can take that as a reference) Or else, simply find a product reviews apps to add in your online store to increase trust. This helps effectively!

  • I don't think this is the right way to approach this problem, as you will make your clients already pretty pissed at the amount of email they will receive.
I would consider using a personalization tool, that will adjust your website and help the visitors that will most likely need a Q&A section to be more visible than those who already completed a purchase.
Apps like Twik can really help there. They can deliver each user a different version of the site based on their interest and user alike.
