The only one I am aware of is EtsyHunt... And it provides Google search data vs actual Etsy Data - im pretty sure the data is not even remotely transferable

    My process you ask?

I will do a search for something very broad say "Dog Collars" and I look at the "Results" number in this case as of right now the number is 198,470 (with ads )

For comparison we can look up "Cat Collars" and see the toal number of listings is 156,184

this will give us an overall picture of how many items are for sale, and then give us an idea of the overall demand of the item - if the item wasnt selling there would not be so many listings.

So next you can get more specific with the search right - so say "Dog Collars with Monkeys" and that number drops all the way down to 563. - less product and we can equate that to overall less demand - again for comparison we can look at "Red Dog Collars" and see 61,907 listings - I would say more people are looking for "Red" than they are looking for "Monkeys"

From here we can start looking at specific listings within this search (dog collars with monkeys) I will generally click on the 1st listing that is not an ad... and then I look for an add with the "best seller" notation, and a "Star Seller" listing" and maybe a few more. what I am looking for is below the "Add to Cart" button is something like "X people has this in their cart" ( obviously the higher the number here, the greater the demand. I am then looking at Reviews on these listings and if there are reviews for that specific product listed.

Something that you can start doing today... that wont really help you today ( it might depending on your niche ) but more so later down the road...is to go onto etsy and just click on the search area and "Popular Right Now" and a set of listings shows up. I do this 3 or 4 times a week and write down the results to keep track of them.. you can get an idea for future use when things like "Christmas" starts trending ( a lot sooner than you think ) and "Halloween", and "Summer" and "bridal" etc etc After a years time you have the beginnings of a blueprint of what should be listed when.

    Hope that Helps!

This etsy seller has all sorts of info. Have no idea how the data is collected, but it may serve some purpose? If nothing else, I love when people sell electrons on etsy, eBay or anywhere online...these can be "guides" for any platform.

No affiliation here, just as information which could be relevant to OP

  • There are a number of great software options for market research on Etsy, and the one that is best for you will depend on your needs. Some of the most popular include Google Analytics, Clickfunnels, AltaVista SE (now part of Bing), Yahoo! Site Explorer (now part of Oath), and Webtrends.

Each of these tools offers different features and capabilities, so it is important to choose the one that is most appropriate for your needs. For example, analytics platforms like Google Analytics can help you to track how users are interacting with your website in order to improve user experience or marketing campaigns.

Clickfunnels allows you to create successful sales funnels without any programming knowledge which makes it ideal if you're not comfortable writing code or don't have time available right now.

AltaVista SE provides detailed information about what keywords are being searched on the web by keyword volume at various points in time which can be useful when considering whereeto focus your SEO efforts next. And Yahoo! Site Explorer lets you explore all aspectsof a given website such as traffic sources, demographics data etc., whichcan be helpful when making decisions about branding or layout changes.
