One product page with variants vs. separate product pages

Hi all,

I sell a single product (apparel) that comes in a dozen different designs. Aside from the designs, everything else is identical.

I am wondering whether or not to create 12 separate product pages, or one product page with 12 variants.

My main ad platform is Google Ads, so I'd be especially keen to get any feedback with this platform in mind.

I think its better to test by yourself to see what results you have ,make 1 with a single page and another with those separate pages to see where you get better results

Could you run both at the same time? If so, would that be advisable?

Hmmm ... EVERYTHING else is identical? Really? There are no choices for size or color?

If there are other options to choose size or color, I would definitely have the 12 separate designs listed as 12 separate products. Really, I'd do that even if there were no other options to choose from.

    Agree with dave...

so the "shirts" are the same BUT the designs are different... you have 12 different shirts.

I would say technically you should have 12 different product pages and be running 12 different ads ( at a minimum )

I dont know what the designs are specifically but lets say an ad for a dog design, and ad for a cat design, and ad for a wolf design etc etc.

One single ad for "t-shirts" is in no way targeting the potential buyer... I would call that wasting money... But specifically targeting the design like with the dog shirt "German Sheppard T-shirt" is far more targeted and gives you far more ability to target the ad to those interested in "German Sheppard's" right?

    Hope that Helps!

The designs are kinda like this site: https://www.drowsysleepco.com/pages/mask

No difference in price or material, really, but different colours/designs to choose from. I imagine a site like that could as easily produced a single page with multiple variants, but chose to go with near-identical product pages (other than the photos/title).

Again... red, blue, stars etc... these are specific search terms that can be directly targeted.

        Sleep masks VS

        Red sleep mask
        Blue sleep mask
        Stars sleep mask

Individual product pages with individual ads to each is going to directly target YOUR ads to what is being searched. You dont want someone clicking your ad ( sleep masks ) looking for "animal print sleep mask" and you dont offer it - again, a waste of money.

The absolute KEY to paid ads is in the targeting. The ad needs to indicate specifically what is being sold ( red sleep mask ) and the page that ad is directed to needs to match IE a product page for a red sleep mask.

        Hope that Helps!
