I have tried and still doing SEO for a ecommerce shopify and its taking years to rank what factors should i focus on 2 to 3rd tier url.
#hard #seo #shopify
  • It is because users can't simply access the website's back-end and make modifications to enhance SEO value.

Most ecommerce platforms are fairly similar in terms of optimizing for SEO, so Shopify has nothing to do with why you are not ranking well.

The reason you are not ranking is because you have likely chosen ridiculously hard to rank for keywords, have not optimized for much longer tail phrases, you have far too many really major, well implanted websites ranking on page 1 and maybe even page 2 and you do not have the backlink profile to compete with the sites that are outranking you (I'm talking real, editorially placed backlinks on major sites that matter, not the easy to get ones you can place yourself on sites that don't matter).

Interested to hear more on this topic as I'm not sure. I've never done shopify but always open to different ideas. Are you trying to compete for difficult keywords? For example "t-shirt" would be tough. But "biker t-shirt for babies" would probably be easier.

The O.P. asked a question, got responses and never was heard from again, so I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for elaboration. It's been a month already.

Firstly, I recommend conducting detailed research on SEO. There were even 200 items last time I checked! Many of these are related to the software features of the site. Shopify is merely a base, so the software you use must be fully SEO-compatible, which means it should be very advanced software. Additionally, the simplest SEO rule is, are all the texts on your site original? For example, if you're selling a product, you need to write a unique article of at least 200 words. There are rules even for writing that article. So, Shopify or other systems are not magic boxes. In this regard, I suggest working with both software and SEO experts. Otherwise, your job is only to grow your existing business. If you get involved in software, SEO, and advertising, you won't be able to do your job properly, and it will result in failure.

i think it is because to rank for shopify keyword there is so much competition, so focus on a
keyword for something that is much less competition, so i would try shopify review, there will be less pages or videos that review shopify product, i hope this helps you

... and folks continue to comment on a thread that the clearly is dead ...

There is ZERO DIFFERENCE between Shopify and any other eCommerce platform in terms of SEO difficulty.

Done - finished - bottom line - there are no other intelligent answers to the question.

Limited possibilities , unfortunately if you want to see better results you should go to Open Source platform like Magento, Wordpress, Presta Shop etc. Shopify is easy to start small e-commerce business but they dont telling people the cost of a webshop is only the beginning, small completely uncomparable fee to SEO/ SEM you have to do to make any sales.

It depends on multiple factor. One major factor is your target country if you are target country includes USA, Canada, UK or Australia you probably needs strong foundation for SEO it depends all the on page off page and technical seo. Also depends on your content structure how you organize it and what kind of value you are providing. If you lack from any of them you probably won't get ranked.
