I have a long lived html store using Paypal buttons.
Just built a WooCommerce replacement store.
Need to transition without destroying ranking etc

Was thinking to keep the html and have an index or such page
allowing customers to select new or old store.
OR
Use only the new store and re-directs from old html pages to new
pages ( not same url's ). But would break links to images etc.
OR
buy a new domian eg now domain example business.com then buy businessshop.com
and use place the new site on a new domain and put links on old shop pages suggesting
to use the new site?

Anyone done this and what did you learn, what would you avoid and what worked?

Thank you.

I am a website developer and mostly use HTML and
also use WP for functionality such as integrations.
HTML and WP can be used together on one site.

You can combine HTML and PHP pages, but I'm not
sure whether your restructure will adversely affect
    your rankings.

If I were you, I would consult ChatGPT so it can help
organize your silo structure and sitemap, as well as
    link building and SEO.

Thank you. Will check what ChatGPT suggests.

WooCommerce turns a regular WordPress site into a fully functional online store. It offers built-in tools for product management, payments, shipping, and order tracking -- making it easier to sell online without building everything from scratch. Plus, it's flexible, scalable, and supported by a large community and plugin ecosystem.
