Should we create Backlinks for Product page?

In the era of chat gpt or other AI i don't think people prefer to read blogs like before.

Backlink building of homepage always help to get good DA PA of your site and also helps to get traffic but if you want to rank your product pages than you have to build backlinks for them too.

Forget SEO for a moment... generally speaking a product page will not have the needed information for the end user to make a purchase - with one exception, and that is the point a buyer is committed to buying and actually going to make the purchase.

there are steps before this ( for the end user ) that as I practice I target with content. Details of the item, a comparison of the item against other like items, and the after purchase information of the item - how to set up, how to use, tips, repair info etc.

So back to SEO, I concentrate on getting them to my site earlier in the buyers cycle and providing as much content to the item itself and these are the pages I will backlink. The product page itself, not so much.

You need to do both, but smartly.
