An Idea I want to Capitalize on - Dropshipping - anyone have know-how?

Hello Warrior's,

I've been searching for this for months, looked on all the top marketing forums and even had a friend investigate the black forums (because I refuse to use them) - and I still haven't found what I'm looking for - and I'm starting to doubt that it can even be done so please if somebody has the know-how and the links, hook me up

What I'm looking to do basically is set up an online store which when people order from me, the item is dispatched directly via drop-shipping so that I don't actually hold or stock the item.

Are there any business's which can offer me this sort of proposition so that I can make a profit on each item?

    niche blueprint 2.0 used to offer the whole package - site setup, database of wholesalers + teaching from scratch, but 3 months ago they were quite expensive (~$1497).

    Alternative is to get a wholesalers database from clickbank (product called SaleHoo) and DIY.

    How to find a real dropshipper for free...

    The best advice I've heard is simply to search for the businesses that
    are actively looking to start a dropshipping arrangement with you.

    Googleing "product name + dropshipping" will get you suppliers for almost
    any product imaginable. I don't see any reason to pay for this information
    when you can get it free.

    Make sure you're dealing with an actual supplier and not a middle man who
    will jack up your prices. This is pretty easy to spot- actual suppliers will be
    doing more than just dropshipping- either retailing their product, or doing regular wholesaling- while the middle man sites will talk about
    nothing but dropshipping.

    In the US, you need a tax ID to buy at wholesale prices, and any legitimate
    dropshipper should ask to see this up front.

      Virtually everyone who gets started in "drop-shipping" gets started the wrong way.

      The Wrong Way:---Find a dropshipping list, buy it, and then come up with a niche.

      The Right Way:---Find a desirable niche, find SUPPLIERS/DISTRIBUTORS, and figure out how to get them to dropship for you.

      Ever since ebay, the term "dropship" has been *******ized. There are more companies that you realize that are willing to actually dropship for you, but they aren't going to advertise it for fear they'll get some ebay scrubs calling them.

      Trust me, none of the major suppliers I deal with (that dropship) are on any of these lists.

    A3 no offense,but, you couldn't have been looking too hard. A simple google search and using the search function would have found what you were looking for in no time. This tells me you are lazy and I doubt you will succeed in dropshipping.

    Now I told you that you're going to be a loser, (and, a nobody), it is up to you to use that as ammunition to prove me wrong with your success in a year or 2.

      Its not about being lazy bro, it's more about not knowing who to trust and having no expierience in the matter - that's why I posted the question here where I would (hopefully) find people with experience in that area.

    Drop shipping services are pretty easy to find. It depends on what niche you're looking for, though. In some, the profit margins might be quite small considering time spent.

    Before you signup with WorldWideBrands or buy a dropship list decide on what it is you want to sell. Find the niche.

    Once, you've found it then contact the manufacturers directly and ask them if they offer a dropship service. If they don't then ask them for a list of their distributors. Then, call each of them and ask if they offer a dropship service.

    Until you get yourself a company and tax ID/reseller's license you won't get prices from them and you'll probably find they won;t discuss things with you in detail.

    But at least you'll have identified and found companies that dropship.

      Google search: "real dropshipper list" and you will find real wholesale dropship suppliers.

      To get an account with REAL wholesale dropship suppliers you need a state sales tax license, luckily they are easy to obtain. If you don't need a sales tax license the supplier is probably a middleman.

      Avoid monthly "fees" and selling "fees", and get a FREE shopping cart, powerful enough to have all the necessary features for ecommerce, features like google checkout and product import are important. Ebay doesn't work well if you really want to sell a lot of products, they take too much of your profit, it is better to advertise on a FREE shopping comparison engine like google base.

      One very necessary shopping cart feature is "product import" function. Entering products manually into shopping cart software is tedious, and not necessary. OpenCart shopping cart is TOP RATED powerful FREE opensource shopping cart software, it has a multiple stores feature, and a product import add-on is available.

      Further, having a product import function will allow automated product synchronization with your dropship suppliers, so that you don't accidentally sell a product that is out-of-stock at the supplier. For dropship merchant product management and automation, google search PowerDropship.

    Yeah, I'm not so sure about Google Base, now Google Product Search, especially if you're dropshipping.

    Why? Because GPS has a bias towards lowest prices. If you're dropshipping the same product as 6 other merchants using GPS, your product won't be displayed unless you have the lowest price. Drop ship margins tend to be very low to begin with -- you don't want to be trapped into a race to the bottom.
