Hi guys,

I am sort of confused which website platform to use for a drop-shipping website and for an affiliate marketing website in general. I am planning to make two websites with one for dropshipping and one for affiliate marketing. Which website platforms good for SEO?

I was thinking of using Dreamweaver, because it doesn't seem difficult to learn HTML on your own. Is Dreamweaver itself hard to use other than the HTML? Would you even recommend Dreamweaver?

Also, I was thinking about using something like WordPress, but do drop-shipping websites even use this to host something like handling customer financial information? How about for affiliate marketing?

Please tell me what you use for your drop-shipping or affiliate marketing website, thanks!

Wordpress is very versatile and easy to use. It could be used for both dropshipping and affiliate marketing.

With wordpress you can look at this plugin for you dropshipping site: Shopping Cart Software by UltraCart - E-Commerce Solutions

As above I would have to agree that in general Wordpress is the best platform for what you want to do, some would suggest drupal for the e-commerce stores because of greater coding versatility but since you are just starting out I really feel wordpress and its CMS (content management system) really will benefit your level of current expertise and allow you to grow your business without having to worry so much about the technical aspects.

The real question to as yourself is do you wish to be bogged down in 'learning HTML' or do you want to actually get on and start building your sites and then an income. By all means you should know a bit about HTML along with most aspects of your business but in my view you need to know what you will be best at doing and apply yourself to that. I know personally for example that although I know a little HTML even if I were able to use dreamweaver expertly I would never be as good as true website designers/coders etc hence I have long left those areas to experts whom I simply outsource to while I concentrate on the areas that make me money in my business for instance SEO/content creation and of course branding etc. Hope that helps and good luck with your ventures for the future!

Just adding my vote to the Wordpress team - simply for versatility and ease of use. With the plugins available you can do pretty much anything you want.

I would go with wordpress too, so many themes and plugins available to help you automate things and more being created every day too.
I tried joomla before which is also pretty good for the type of site that you are talking about but now we do everything with wordpress.
