Well, Woo Commerce is perfect for a Wordpress ecommerce site. Paypal is built in so you would need to purchase an extension to handle your particular payment gateway. I don't know what kind of payment methods you take, but a Woo Commerce theme along with the free Woo Commerce plugin and an extension for your payment gateway should do the trick.

My store is all downloadable products. I also use the Amazon S3 extension and I upload the larger products to Amazon S3 to limit the amount of bandwidth on my host.

Here's the link to the payment gateway extensions available. I don't see Payza there

It's the Coquette theme. When you buy a Woo theme, you get 3 for the price of one. It's funny... I chose the first two that I thought I really liked and then picked Coquette as the final one. As it turns out, I really love the Coquette theme and don't care that much for the other two I chose.

I really would NOT recommend BigCommerce, though I have no experience with Shopify.

Google "Aaron Wall Interspire" to find out why I wouldn't trust that company. I have used their self hosted version before (Interspire and BigCommerce are the same company) and their support was some of the worst I have ever seen.

Until Woo Commerce came out, I would have said no, but I'm very impressed with Woo Commerce and all of the extensions available for it. There's an extension to bulk import products from spreadsheet, every kind of payment gateway imaginable. I think the cost of launching it with Wordpress is less than that of using some of the big platforms specifically for ecommerce. Might have limitations, but I haven't found any yet.

    Hi Ibietela,

I use Ecwid.com which integrates well with Wordpress too. If you don't have 1000 products to sell, then this would work well.

    @Shifat
Coming from a BigCommerce background and have used it with success, I suggest using BigCommerce if you intend to sell physical products in the long term. Their integration with UPS/FedEx etc is great. The dashboard is user friendly and you can create coupons. While wordpress can be great for an online store, it really depends on how many products you're selling and if you want shopping cart abandonment stats and in-built emailing systems for customers who purchase from your website, then BigCommerce works well.

I checked them out. You have to buy at least the $80/mnth to get the abandoned cart stats and $150/mnth for unlimited products and that's only 1GB of storage.

I agree. If your trying to sell Physical Products then why not use one of those ecommerce scripts.

Everything's already setup on it to sell products. Seems like it would be much easier going that route.

Personally I'd only use wordpress as a blog.

That might have been true before Woo Commerce. Nothing is easier to get a store up and running quickly than Woo Commerce. They've got the professional looking Woo Commerce themes and the Woo Commerce plugin and many extensions to do practically anything you want to do. I've been working on a dropshipping site for 2 days. It has products in it and is ready to start selling and is already indexed in Google.

Some of the ecommerce scripts available have a high learning curve and others have monthly fees. I personally don't want to spend a bunch of bucks or have to learn programming before I know how these products are going to do.

The only thing I see that is missing from WooCommerce is the ability to create multiple download files per product. It's supposed to coming soon but I don't know when. This is really the only thing holding me back from giving it a real try. It would also be nice to have the ability to name each download file that is created with your product as well. Some of my products contain 16 or more files. Looks good though. I'll keep testing it.

I'm not using many plugins. Things like All in One SEO, Sitemap generator, etc. I am using Woo Commerce extensions, but what you use will depend entirely on what you're selling. There are all kinds of payment gateways to choose from as well as many others.

      1. If you're going to have digital products, the Amazon S3 extension is really helpful to curb the bandwidth from all that downloading on your server.

      2. I use Aweber for listbuilding, so I bought the Aweber newsletter extension that automatically integrates the Aweber form into your sidebar, although coding can do the same thing.

      3. I bought "Follow up Emails" unlimited license ($299) to send customer emails directly from my Wordpress installation.

      4. I use Wish List Member so I bought the Wish List Integration extension.

      5. I bought Product Bundles extension which is really cool and lets you create product bundles.

      6. I have an Amazon Simple Pay account so I bought the Amazon Simple Pay integration extension.

So you can see, it depends on what your particular needs are. Just go to WooThemes.com and look at the extensions and find what is helpful to you.

You don't actually need any of the extensions above. I have no experience with Cloudfare. Give it a try. The only extension you may need is for whatever payment gateway is accepted in your area.

Shouldn't be an issue at all relative to CloudFlare (have other customers using a number of the services already mentioned). The two biggest concerns for CloudFlare and e-commerce sites:

          1. SSL support (if using SSL, need to use our SSL) requires at least a Pro plan.
          2. Highly recommend installing something like mod_cloudflare to restore original visitor IP to your server.

It's the aweber extension for Woo Commerce and I don't know about the PLR question. All over the place. There's tons of PLR but converting, I can't say. Most PLR should be altered in some way before using.

I think if you want to make an e-commerce website, then choose an e-commerce source, not just a plugin.
I'm using Opencart which I think it's an easy e-commerce.
You can modify it with Vqmod plugin, a lot of ready to install is available too. Some is free, some is paid. I'm new to e-commerce too but I'm a web developer, I had some experience in web development so I can modify it.
You can find an online example here: machtudong.vn
    It's in Vietnamese.
