Do you who use ecommerce, Shopify, think the added cost of Authorize.net is worth it as an add-on to Shopify, which already has its own form of accepting payment built in? It will double the monthly cost.

Hi, they been around for ever and are reliable. I rather pay higher and get more especially when it comes with collecting money. Also not everyone will use Paypal and will abandon your cart. Good to have options. This fee is small compared to the cost of a physical store and all the expenses. If you have any questions let me know...

On one of my niches - I used paypal (standard) for about 2 years and I did lose some customers (as they would get confused having to leave my shopsite to pay, or they thought they needed a paypal account to pay)

After reading many fellow Warriors nightmare stories on paypal freezing their accounts or holding their money - I took the switch to Authorize.net with a payment processing company I will not name and shame. I definitely saw an increase in conversions HOWEVER in this niche it seemed that we had a pretty high rate of people fraduently using others credit cards (it seems like it was a "hey I got some little old ladies cc numbers - lets go buy a XXXXX " kind of niche

Once I discovered fraudulent transactions with paypal I would refund the transaction and paypal actually respected that - the payment processor I used with Authorize.net - had decided to cancel my account - due to the amount of fraud attempts (probably about 15 over the period of a year) which is fine, their prerogative but they never told me!! Which is outrageous and I definitely lost sales from this (as people couldn't check out)

I am now back using paypal pro with no problems

Sorry for the long rambling rant - to confirm Authorize.net were not the problem, the payment processor I used were.

If you are already using standard paypal - perhaps look into paypal pro first

The more payment options you give a consumer the higher your sales will go, from my experience adding authorize.net will skyrocket your sales.
