Which day of the week should I launch my PPC campaign for my online store?

I was wondering which day of the week and at what time (USA time) should I launch a PPC campaign for my e-commerce store?

Which day and time from your experience has given you the best returns? or does this also depend on the product one sells?

    I have run Google PPC ads every day of the week and I have always found Mondays get the best results for me

    Wednesdays are about the weakest

    Weekends - it depends on the niche I have some that Saturday and Sunday are nearly as strong as Mondays and some where the weekend is dead

    Its almost like some people go out and enjoy their weekends and save their web surfing up for Monday morning back at work

    And by Wednesday they are knuckling down and getting on with the work they are meant to be doing

    Ultimately the best thing is to make sure you have conversion tracking set up and run ads for a few weeks on every day of the week and see what works best for your niche

  • I have HORRIBLE luck on the weekends.

    And late Friday, frankly.

    Here's my theory: When people buy products on those days, they're looking for that item to be in their hands RIGHT AWAY and they're looking for that TRACKING number.

    And frankly, the perception on the Internet is that if you buy on a Friday-Sunday, you're going to get the item pretty much on the same day as Monday. (Which is the best day for me)

    But, with any PPC campaign, split test like crazy.

    Wednesday is my 2nd best day - which is a little anomalous to Aussie_Al.

        Tuesday-Thursday work better for me...but seasons and holidays also makes a big difference...

          The best days for ecommerce vary a great deal from niche to niche and also from country to to country.

          I have found that B2B type products generally do best Tuesday - Thursday and B2C often do best Friday - Sunday, with Sunday evening being the busiest. Again it does vary from niche to niche, so the best thing to do is to test.

          The best time to launch a new PPC campaign is when you will be available to keep an eye on it during the first few days of the campaign. However, it usually takes a few weeks of data to get enough for valid tests, so the day of the week isn't that important in the long run, because you need to understand how campaigns will perform each day of the week as well as the time-of-the-Month and time-of-the-Year.
