Best way to sell used books?

eBay is fine, but books can be hard with the deductions...

But it does depend on the market worth of the item AND the deductions.

Obviously you can't sell the item for more than what people deem the item worth - especially on eBay. Once you determine that price, and then take your deductions - you then determine your estimated total profit/loss.

If you're breaking even/taking a loss after this, then you'd simply not sell the item on that medium - since you can't do anything with your cost to acquire at that time - and you certainly can't do anything with the market worth of the item on eBay.

But this would be a case-by-case bases PER book. As long as you're running the numbers and finding how much you can make you'll be fine.

Of course you know not to break even or to take a loss.

The books you WOULDN'T make money on you'd liquidate somewhere else such as Craigslist (like the poster above me suggested) or even from some offline promotion you can announce locally.
