Help with Opt In

Im using WP With Bazar Theme. ( please dont pick this theme starting out, holy learning curve!) Anyways, a simple Call To Action came with it all ( seems to be on the back end of WP and not my theme specifically). Yeah, it doesnt work. I mean it does. Let me explain.
You can go to my site and enter your email address to subscribe until you are blue in the face. Im not going to know you subscribed. Heck, even the subscriber isnt going to know they are subscribed. There is no database associated with who subscribes to my page.

So, I started poking around at other opt ins. I want an opt in that actually:

Makes me aware someone subscribed
Keeps a list of the subscribers in an easily accessible database
Auto Generates them a thank you
Also has an opt out so I don't inadvertently really anger off a customer and keep up with legalities
Has Newletters (and what I mean by newsletters is for me and my niche, something where I can send all subscribers at once anything I want- such as coupons, or an announcement that my site is having a half off sale)
**IS configurable***. I have tried SO many different opt ins and frankly, they are ugly. I tried one that ended up being bright yellow and actually had me scrambling to get it off the site.

What opt ins are you using?

    Depends what you are talking about. Informational sites or ecommerce. Ecommerce sites customers are already opted in when they order from me with follow ups and upsells. I use Mailchimp since it integrated with practically every shopping cart system out there and is very friendly to ecommerce and local sales.

    For my informational sites I use Aweber with a light box or the membership software I use also has an autoresponder and content responder in it. I actually prefer mailchimp but it is not friendly to internet and affiliate marketing so thats when I use Aweber.

    I use popup domination, it comes with lots of professional designs, easy to set up, and every time a new subscriber is added, it sends me a notification email, there are similar ones like this, but this is the only one I've used and I'm very satisfied with it

      Thank you both. How is get response? This is for an ecommerce site. I have looked at mailchimp a bit, but might need to take a better look at them again.

    Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor (nice little simple button), Aweber etc. The list is endless now but I have Mailchimp and Campaign Monitor really enjoyable and easy to use.
