Forget oScmmerce, Cubecart or any of those other amateurish-looking shopping carts. The best free shopping cart is Open Cart which can be downloaded at http://www.opencart.com. The default setup as well as the templates that are being offered by third parties are far more professional than what's being offered with most other free carts. Give it a try and I think you'll agree.

Thanks! I didn't know about that one. Do you have a demo of their free version? You have to fill out a form to see a demo of their enterprise version so that obviously isn't free.

I'm not disagreeing with you but just playing devil's advocate here. Have you tried the other carts? I'm curious why you think OpenCart is better than the others?

The reason why I think it's a better cart is because it's has great functionality and has the right LOOK. Most people out there are very reluctant to pull out their credit card when they have to question the legitimacy of a site. I know you can modify the default Oscommerce design but that costs money that most people don't have or aren't willing to spend. And if you want to use a template you're going to need to spend at least $150 to get a template that matches those used by Open Cart.
