I would look into SEO to get the most out of your budget, you want to start attracting visitors searching for long tail keywords related to your niche - these are the visitors who want to buy

Example

Say you are selling BluRay players, most people would think - ok, I want to rank number 1 for BluRay players, this is wrong you should be aiming for a large list of long tails related

"sony bd43 bluray player"
"lg 4337 bluray player"
"sony bd998 wifi bluray player"

Specific model names, visitors searching for these keywords have obviously done there homework and know which model they are after - if you rank number 1 for a lot of these keywords you will see the sales come in

With a budget of $600 I would contact a local SEO firm in your area if possible, one that has a building and staff working 9 - 5 on SEO projects, this way you can ensure your money is being well spent.

You could try paid traffic but I wouldn't start with this until my site was bringing in a healthy amount of organic traffic first - then you have a budget to get into buying visitors and tweaking ad campaigns etc
