adding a "check out" to thank you page?

hi everyone, i'm more of a lurker right now, but i am currently making a site to build an email list.
my "bribe" is a free physical book, but i want to charge for shipping.
i would think that having a check out on the thank you page after people give their email would be the best place for it.

my question is, what would be my best method for this? does paypal have anything that i can add to the page where people can pay without me having to email an invoice? or is there something better than paypal out there?

i am just getting into IM and am doing this as a test for my employer.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thank you

If I was promised a free book and was then asked to pay for shipping I'd feel like I was trying to be shafted. Could you give away a free e-book instead? That would still allow you to collect the email address.
