Probably not. You need a US bank account. Also, you would need an importer of record. Amazon will not accept shipments directly from abroad. If you can overcome these two obstacles, though, you can easily run your business from anywhere.

I don't think you can sell on amazon us website if you are out of US. But amazon is setting up more warehouse in other countries now.

They do! Small parcel courier shipments with no customs issues get through FBA just fine.

If you have to bring in larger shipments then you have to go through a few steps to register as an importer, fill out a few documents, probably a bit of red tape and you can have your shipments shipped directly to Amazon. If you call and ask they will tell you the requirements.

Otherwise, if it's something small, not high value, and UPS will deliver w NO ISSUE, then FBA usually accepts it. If the merchandise is dutiable/taxable, then they won't. (Disclaimer, I am sure that's not the proper way to do it, but I have done it)

I looked around and even asked product authors if it's possible. It seems that not many people know how to do this sort of business.

I've decided not to pursue it.

    Oh well.

Thanks to those who provided their insights.

Super Louie, it can be done. In fact, I am an FBA seller living outside of the U.S. I source products from outside of the US then ship them to US. It just takes a bit of work in the beginning but it is quite simple. Let me know if you intend to pursue.

It may be a simple process if you are an American citizen with an existing Amazon account. I will be moving to the Philippines in a few months and plan on selling through Amazon a limited amount of specialized products I design and make. I'll be using LBC Express to ship to the US and other countries served by LBC. I am able to keep my US bank account even though I'll be living out of the country so my Amazon deposits will not change. Also, I'll get one of those PO box services that have an actual street address for correspondence.

    Hi
Do you think eBay allows this through eBay global ?

Try on eBay and also ETSY does give option to sell from any country..Just that you must sell handmade products n take responsibility of shopping all the way

    Good luck

you can sell , as long as you have someone in the US that can let you use their Social security number to register for an account ( which is a pretty big obstacle , considering all the tax liabilities that they will be required to shoulder )

a US bank account is not required, as amazon does do deposits directly into foreign banks , or you can use payoneer.

Im american and live in the Philippines last 13 years. I would suggest not using LBC as they are the worst carrier on the planet. Well maybe not the planet but pretty bad.
I think best option is use Amazon FBA and let them handle the shipping.
Ive set up amazon sellers account and fba no problem even though Im living here.
For those that are worried about US bank account Payoneer has them with a Visa and Amazon recognizes them as legit.

      Dear Jim

I'm very enthusiastic about your PAC course. I always do my research and it seems for me is the best course about Amazon on internet and I'm ready to learn about selling product on Amazon.

But one thing that burst my bubble, and I can't find that you
mentioned about this anywhere on your promotion, is =

How to open US Bank Account for non US Residence, which is also not in
Euro zone list? I live in Indonesia (in south east asia).

You said that wherever I live I can be an Amazon seller. But
how about the problem unable to open US bank account to receive
payment from Amazon? That seems contradicted. Thx for your reply.

Hi, I really need help here as I can not find an answer to my problem. I hope you could give me a hand.

I am from Spain and I live in India. I have found many good products to sell on FBA in US. I am ready to ship a small initial FBA order of 100 pieces and 25kg in total with a total value of less that 125 dollars.

I have been informed that from India I can not send myself as I don't have and can not have a business here. I have decided to use my Spanish sole trader company to order the goods to the Indian manufacturer and ask him to ship the goods to the US for me. He agrees but asks me to give him the importer details and here is where I am lost. Amazon doesn't let you use their importer code and refers to use a broker. I have contacted a broker and I have been quoted 750 dollar for the service and bond. Outrageous for an order with a value of 125 dollars.

A person of this forum pointed me in the direction myinventoryteam but I see they don't accept new customers and also they won't allow anyone to use their importer code...

I don't know how to proceed as I don't have an US importer code or social security number.

I have read that some of you have successfully send small packages directly to Amazon. Any of you know how to do this in an easy and straightforward way?

I intend to ship small packages until the product takes off and then I would use a broker.

Any help will be very much appreciated.

      Miguel

You don't need a US bank account in order to sell on Amazon.

You can use Payoneer or World First as an alternative. However, they have some restrictions on what can be sold via their system. Check it first.

The easiest countries to sell via are obviously US, UK and Euro. Also, AU, NZ. Hong Kong, India and Canada. With these countries you can just use your own bank account and local details.

If not, then you can go to your local bank and ask them if they can open a US bank account for you. Some can, some can't. There will obviously be costs involved with this.

Can someone tell me is there a cheaper solution trying to get products sent back to the USA from Philippines? Or is there a closer storage facility like Amazon or Shipwire? Any suggestion will be a great saving to my pocket.
