Jewelry Designer Interested in Establishing Long Term Dropshipping Deals

I'm a jewelry designer and am wondering how to get deals. I'm willing to sell pieces at good rates and take care of the shipping and everything. But how do I get Ebayers and others that like to dropship to know I exist? I'd like to turn this and providing wholesale jewelry to businesses into my full time if possible.

I need to get a little bit better lens for my camera so that I can take some photos over the next day or two to give you some ideas. Once I have some pictures, I will pm them to you.

In addition, I've been designing for over 15 years and can design things based on pictures that you give me even if I don't currently have something you're interested in, in stock. For example, I make my own beads, resins, pendants, high end bridal pieces and also do wire wrapping as well from time to time when it's requested.

If you see something that you'd like to purchase in bulk, just send me a photo, and I will create a sample based on your needs. Like right now, I have a lot of beaded bohemian types of things, with some gemstones, but mostly costume-y stuff. However, I can fulfill most style orders from rhinestones, to gemstones, to much more. I just need that visual idea of what you're looking for.

        Hi Candy,

What are your styles most like? Is there a site that you could reference thats similar in style? Do you do wire wrapping, metals fabrication, leather? You said you make beads, lampwork beads?

I'm in the USA, but am willing to ship worldwide via the UPS flat rate system or if others know of a better, cheaper system, just let me know.

Okay, I have a domain name called www.JewelryMaking.com which would seem perfect for what you are doing.

Send me an email at domainscience@yaoo.com and we will email or talk.

Oh, I also have plenty of other names that are jewelry related.

If you are interested, let's both do something

My wife is an Ebay'er so we might have what you need right here.

You need a decent camera with maybe a 18-55mm type lens (they are only about $100) and one of these:
Lumiere L60235 Portable Photo Studio - 16 Photo Tent, Halogen, 3200K, 2 x 50W Lights, Retractable Legs, Mesh Diffuser, 4 Color Backgrounds, Expandable/Collapsible at TigerDirect.com

Yes, it shows a blue background but you can use black, white or?

      Now, questions:

      1. what is the margin given to the seller?

      2. Do you accept pay pal?

      3. Can you provide a photo inventory album to place orders from?

      Thanks, Patrick

That seems like a good domain name for a jewelry making course, moreso than for selling jewelry pieces I think. If it turns out this doesn't work out for you, and you're interested in selling the domain let me know.

Start by putting up a site displaying your stuff. Then put a link in your sig to the site. Then take out a classified ad here. Then on CraigsList. Then become a member of some jewelry forums. Then go on eBay and offer wholesale lots of jewelry... etc., etc., etc...

      Hi, Mevora:

The Ebay prices and the effort involved just does not balance out. It seems I would be spending an entire day working just to make $1-$10 or less per day. I'm still doing some figuring, but I just don't know if there is enough guaranteed volume on ebay. When I do research, even the best jewelry sellers might be selling 10 -20 items a day. However when you include taking the pictures, and shipping into that and a .10 cent to .25 cent profit per item, it hardly becomes worth it. I'm still looking into it because Ebay has so much traffic, but I just don't know how realistic it is for real life expenses unfortunately.

    CandyCandy7:

I have a jewelry site built on MaxEBiz, but it is populated with Doba dropshipper products. Actual release of any promotion for this site is stalled, mainly because every product description page for each product (and every style, size, color, and cut) has to be completely rewritten to avoid getting blacklisted by Google for duplication.

We are currently going through this rewrite for the other "cluster" of ecommerce sites, blogs, review sites, and video sites with our Life Balance theme (health, wellness, exercise, nutrition, and healthy cooking). All of our sites are online but the PR and promotions are being held until the rewrite is complete.

I would be interested in seeing your line of products, and get a feel for the affiliate commissions I could expect. I have plenty of capacity in my eCommerce sites (10,000 product capacity each) and might be interested in a JV.

See the sidebar on my home page for links to Life Balance Products, or see the landing page at:

    The jewelry site is PearlsAndStuff.com

What type of jewelry do you design and sell? Is there a market for it?

I sell handmade beaded jewelry, but I also make my own beads and pendants as well. I do rhinestones sometimes and I also sometimes incorporate wire wrapping and gemstones. I use several mediums including acrylics, clays that I make myself and then of course readymade beads and supplies.

I did not realize people were posting on this thread. People weren't the last time I checked. Some had sent PMs and I was building mockup designs for them and doing my other work. I apologize and will be responding to everyone shortly.
