We are familiar with the metrics for affiliate program, i.e., CPA, Clickbank, etc. However, now we are building eCommerce site sto sell physical products.

For example, given the sales and the profit per item will vary, it makes it more complex that the more simple $X we have previously gotten for most affiliate deals.

Further, traffic that we direct to one item via a banner, may leave to the purchase of some other item on the site. What is the best way to track that?

Any ideas?

    Google Analytics eCommerce Tracking.. it's not perfect but it's the best solution that I've found for tracking where your buyers are coming from.

      Thanks. Tools are great and needed. We are also looking for rules of thumbs for teh actual metrics, if that is even possible.
