Ebay Pro Stores

ECOMMERCE

Has anybody ever used this platform? How does Pro Stores compare to other E commerce solutions? Price, reliability, capability, scalability, all things considered. I am going to besetting up a E commerce channel for a wholesaler I work for, eventually we will have several thousand SKUs listed but I need a simple platform to start and learn on. We currently have a eBay store that we would like to integrate with a site.

ProStores is the step child of eBay that never got much love and gets even less since they purchased Magento. In my opinion, the sites are not nearly as nice looking as other products available and unless they have changed it in 5 years, eBay used to starve them for resources to the point, they had no back up servers in case the data center where pro stores was hosted went down.

That being said, there used to be incentives/integrations for ebay sellers but given that BigCommerce and others will list to your eBay store as well, I have found less reasons to even play with Prostores. Of course, this is all my opinion. Since I have not played with the service, I can only give my first takes.

  Not sure. It has never been a major concern for me but I would be surprised if others don't. Check 3dCart and Americommerce as I believe they might have the functionality.
