Hi,

I found a dropshipper of mid-range furniture who have a minimum RRP and provides excellent margin so I listed as much as I could do on ebay. However I haven't made any sales yet and many of the other listings for the same peices dont appear to be selling either.

So I found a local independent furniture retailer who has a massive range of discounted items some quite unique who dont have a website and I cant find on eBay. So I was planning on approaching them about me selling their discount items on eBay. However I am not totally sure what research into need to carry out or how to deal with shipping.

I did some research but found some awful reviews of some shipping companies. Drop shipping furniture is definitely something I want to get into as the lower market items seem to sell site quite well on eBay but the delivery costs can really into margins.

Things I would be concerned about:

    1. Return merchandise. How will you deal with this and will the vendor accept returns?

    2. Inventory- Its likely that you vendor may run out of certain merchandise which will cause problems if you sell these items on eBay. You will need to have some way to keep track of his inventory. You will quickly get negative feedback on eBay if you sell products and then can't deliver.

    3. If this is successful I would worry about the merchant stealing your idea.

But in general your idea seems viable especially if you have enough profit margin with shipping etc.

Why not ask then whom your supplier uses. it's possible they might have good rates negotiated already you can piggy back off of. I know others have experience with LTL carriers, lets hope they chime in.

    Thanks,

I did some searches on ebay and found the products in their shop for the same price as ebay with free delivery!

Maybe I need to find wholesalers.

Recently, I have Do some research for a Furniture factory, they want to sell Furniture like this Furniture-cheap.com website online.
    There is the four question,
    1.Shipping
    2. Return merchandise.
    3. Inventory
    4. Install and aftersale

There is my suggestion,Furniture usually big /heavy,first we should choose the fashion but small or easy install furniture to try it . it will easy shipping and inventory install.
ask them try some product to test the market.
