Hi,

Today I purchased a DVD still in the wrapper for $1 and sells new for $16. I tried to list the item as new but I could only sell it as Used - Like New. Can anyone advice how to I can sell items as new?

I also purchased a watch for $30 which sells on Amazon for $75. I tried to list the item but it came up saying that it was a resticted product. Can anyone advise what this is based on. I dont mind if I dont sell it because it will be perfect for my nephew at Christmas.

  • Watches are a "restricted" category at Amazon. You need a seller account, and then you need to apply to sell in the category. See Amazon.com Help: Categories and Products Requiring Approval .
  • You really need to take a few hours and read Amazon's market place's Terms of Service. It would answer all of these basic questions for you.

    Otherwise you are spinning wheels.
  • I've had that happen before, for reasons that aren't clear, but I've gotten around that limitation. There are two ways to list your product:

    1) You want to sell X so you go to the product page and click on "Have one to sell?" with an Amazon button next to it. Sometimes I can't list something as new by going that route.

    2) But, if I log in to my seller panel, input the keywords and then list it that way, the "New" condition option is available.

See if that works for you.
