Dropshipping Cell Phones From China

Hey guys,

I had an idea of dropshipping chinese cell phones from china (via Aliexpress) and than ordering samples and doing youtube reviews on the phone to drive traffic to the site.

But I worried about the shipping times it may take to get phone from China to the customers.

Has anyone dealth with Chinese Dropshippers with high end products like cell phone?

P.S: These are not knock off cell phones I'm looking into but Chinese Brand Cellphones.

    the phones will get taken by customs and the Chinese supplier won't refund you. It's a losing situation for you on all levels. If you manage to get it to work, watch out for the FTC - they are watching that traffic closely. Each transaction you make will be monitored and recorded - damaging charges aren't worth the risk.

      They may have Chinese brands on them and there may be cosmetic differences to make it look as though they are not knockoffs, but as other posters have warned, it's going end in tears.

      As for dropshipping or sourcing of any kind by looking at AliExpress, I repeat what I have so often said on this forum, don't use any sourcing platform without first checking them out.

      I recommend safe sourcing sites that as far as I can find have never received a bad review any where. If you do a very quick check on some of the popular and heavily advertised sites I think you will want to look elsewhere. Try typing their name in the search box on Ripoff Report | Scams, reviews, complaints, lawsuits and frauds. File a report, post your review. Consumers educating consumers.
      or you can look at other review sites if you prefer. The story is the same wherever you look.

      Safe product sourcing is not something you can learn on forum posts.

    I can provide you with a list of legit wholesale suppliers of smartphones and tablets, as well as show you how to find additional real suppliers of such products. And these are not knock-offs, but brand name goods.

        Be very, very careful. On my local news today, a merchant was busted for selling what he was told were real iPbones. They were knock offs. He's facing 20 years.

        Think about it.

        If it were that easy to get legitimate smart phones to sell, Apple and Samsung wouldn't be raking in billions.

        Really, really think about it.

    All I can say to you that you have be very careful and be on the spot which in this case is not possible

    When dealing with a Chinese supplier via Alibaba or one of the other sites, you need to be hands on for the first few shipments till you have built up a solid relationship...........don't at any cost go for cheap cell phones thinking you shall make a high & fast profit because at the end of the day you will find yourself out of pocket.

    I agree with the thread above. I don't think cell phones bought in China are the best option to go for. How are you going to handle warranty? I know these devices tend to break down quite often...
