Hosted e-commerce site recommendation?

Dear Warriors,
Greetings... planning to put my small home base t-shirt (plastisol heat transfer, screen printing and vinyl cad cut) business online, I was wondering which way could be quicker and easier to achieve it. I'm a sign and t-shirt designer but not web programmer. My main focus will be on the daily business (advertise, sell, produce and ship the t-s) attributes not the technically issues and security to manage a website. Initially I plan to have 100 to 300 products (3 pictures each).
First, I was checking into SquareSpace e-commerce (about to try it out) but I don't if this would be the best option. Can you Warriors out there, give me any insight or recommendation about the ideal hosted shopping cart for my small t-shirt business (shopify, bigcommerce, corecommerce etc...)?

Thank you to all,

Robson

As for me, Shopify is great for your business. It's easy to star and manage. It also has a lot features out of the box. A couple of weeks ago Shopify announced it's wonderful POS for off-line stores. You may read this blog post about Shopify and it's strong sides.

We have a great solution at pagebuzz for ecommerce and quite a few people that sell t-shirts. That seems to be a very popular business model, so we have developed the tools they need for that business. Our cart is actually very well developed and easy to use.

You might want to check it out if your budget does not warrant something like volusion.

    Hi Robson

Squarespace is amazing for getting your products online quick, and all their templates are responsive so mobile users will love using your site, however, I am not sure how well it handles variations etc.

My recommendation would be to set up 3 or 4 trials of the Squarespace, Shopify, Bigcommerce and Volusion—you'll quickly get a feel for which one you find a joy to use, or which is right for you. People talk about the functionality a lot but if you're using the software daily for your business, how easy you find it to use is a big factor.

I don't have a personal favourite I could recommend, as I understand they all have their strengths and weaknesses, but I have noticed that Shopify recently announced a new POS system that allows you to sell your Shopify products in physical stores too—very handy if you plan on selling to people in a shop in the near future.

Good luck with the t-shirts Robson!

Although I like Volusion the best in terms of hosted shopping carts, I agree with repricerexpress. It's important to test them all out, especially since each ecommerce platform offers free demos.

See which one fits your needs and your budget and work from there.

      Good luck.

Thank you to all! I really appreciate all of yours inputs.
For now I decided to go with SquareSpace (clean modern templates, easy customization and fully Integrated e-commerce with unlimited products - $24 month) while deciding to learn WordPress/WooCommerce or Commerce Kickstart (Drupal).

The simple and best way in my experience is BigCommerce and I have used 90% of all platforms out there. None are perfect. I'm a "value-added reseller" and have built several. It's also the best deal all in all. Fast and efficient. Their technical support can be weak in the middle of the night, but it is 24 hr service though. Can't blame them for under staffing! I can help you get one off the ground if you like. Message me.

Dude you don't need a hosted shopping cart. Just get Ecwid. You can literally just copy and past your shopping cart with this anywhere and still just pay whatever you are paying for your hosting fees. Plus it's a great way to test if people will actually buy your product or not.

I've used Shopify for small projects and it's useful for starting out. Eventually, you'll want to move to Magento or a proprietary solution but Shopify and other hosted solutions mentioned previously will get you started. (the most important thing is to start!)
