Hello,

I'm new here and looking for info on FBA.

I hear plenty about it but don't know how easy it is to get into it.

It'll take investing into products that may sell or not sell.

Are there people on here doing well with FBA?

Is there any decent course that'll show the ropes?

    There is a learning curve involved with FBA. But once you get going, you will become spoiled.

    The hardest part for new people is getting the the first shipment sent in. Once the first shipment is off, then future shipments is a piece of cake.

    Then there is sourcing products that will sell. You have to be creative in finding products. This can be a challenge. You don't want a bunch of inventory sitting there that is not selling. You will have to learn about product sales rankings and retail arbitrage.

    I have been doing FBA since March and have just over 10K in total sales. My profit (after item costs and inbound shipping) is about $5k.

      FBA can be pretty awesome. There are some very inexpensive eBooks on Amazon that explain it well and FB groups you can join.

        Go to Google and type "FBA Radio" They have weekly radio shows about nothing but Amazon FBA and Ebay. You'll find a ton of amazing content there for free.

        Also some of the other people to look out for is Jim Cockrum, Lisa Suttora, Nathan Holmquist, and Jordan Malik.

    I make some side income using fulfilled by Amazon from garage sales. I do find items sell better using FBA than when I shipped myself. A lot can also sit in warehouse and not sell until the person looking for the item browses the site, but their storage fees are very inexpensive. There is a free yahoo group called FBAForum that has been around for I think several years that has daily posts that are helpful.

    I agree with others that once you get thru the first shipment, you will become very spoiled. I had products that I knew that sold well on my own websites, but were not in the Amazon warehouses. When I added them there and saw the sales pop, I realized that it's probably the easiest way to pick off the low-hanging fruit and make some good money before others saw the action.

    So to start, you pick products that have a decent enough sales rank, but are not stocked in the warehouse. I might be in the minority, but I do not worry about products sitting unsold at Amazon. I have the opposite problem of not being able to keep products stocked.

    The holy grail of amazon selling is to own the listing by selling your own branded products. This can be as simple as purchasing "generic" products from China that you package under your own company brand. You own the UPC, you put your company name in the title, and then you sell the product on Amazon. If someone else tries to sell the product, then you can at least play a little hardball by challenging their listing....both directly and thru the formal channels within Amazon.

    Once you do this, you are the beneficiary of all the reviews that come thru on Amazon. So you setup the system where you sell, ask for the review, and then sell more (because you have reviews). Once you have the reviews and the sales are coming in, you might get some people trying to sell off your listing but you at least have some things in place to keep that at bay.
