Verified eBay/PayPal Accounts

Long story short I got banned from eBay for selling too much too fast and they didn't even give me a chance to explain or appeal.

Does anyone have experience with buying eBay accounts or PayPal accounts? Yes I know it violates TOS and hopefully it's not against the rules here to talk about but I'm desperate, this was a big part of my income!

  • Well,

There is certainly more to the story here. eBay wouldn't ban you for selling 'too much too fast'. There is a nature to the items being sold that is in question - or how the customers viewed the items.

Or, the types of items that were being sold.

    What happened?

I actually start eBay stores 3-4 times a year, build them, and then sell them after creating Top-rated seller accounts, but I do it completely legitimately, with eBay knowing full-well what I'm doing - because it doesn't violate their TOS if they know you're selling the business.

There are a few things you need to do, though.

    You need an attorney,
    A notary,
    And a contract.

All of this is then turned over to eBay with full disclosure, and all addresses are then changed. (Paypal doesn't need to be changed, because you can just change the Paypal account on the listings to the one owned by the buyer.)

Just make sure you do it right, because getting banned by eBay isn't very good for your wallet.

They normally put a limit on your account when you first start, but that just limits how much you can list. Are you sure there's nothing else that might have caused them to ban you?

I am surprised they told you why they banned you, usually they ignore requests from people/businesses they have banned arbitrarily, they don't need a reason to ban anyone and they don't have to explain why they banned you, read their TOS

But in some countries, like Australia they are on thin ice now with their refusal to disclose why they take certain actions and have lost a few law suits and put their licenses to operate here in jeopardy. And threatening government agencies whose job is consumer protection hasn't helped their cause here.

I think everyone needs to wake up, ebay/paypal and other companies like them are just that, especially if USA based, then virtually unregulated companies, their mission is to make as much money as they can, any way they can. They have a place in the world for sure but they are not benevolent entities at all.

Just go use an alternative, there are plenty and the more everyone uses them the more we have a say how the 'big boys' behave. Take their income from them and watch how fast they behave.

You can call eBay to find out how to appeal. It's unusual for them to ban someone for selling to fast. It can't be a limit thing, because they would prevent you from listing if you hit your limit.

If you were selling items fast and not shipping them within a quote time then they could lock you down because it's a fraud alert.

Not saying selling too fast is an exact cause of an MC999 I receoved but it is mentioned quite often on the ebay suspension forums which deals strictly with this subject matter.

Don't want to post the link because it may violate WF TOS but you can Google it.

If you were banned, you need to make sure there is no trace back to your old computer/account that was banned. This may mean using a wifi hotspot or something to completely cloak your identity.
