Essential pages for all e-commerce sites

I run a few e-commerce sites, and I'm a bit confused about what pages I'm legally obliged to display, as in Cookies, Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, Link Policy blah blah blah.

I have various combinations across my sites, but I just heard that Google are beginning to drop the rank of sites not displaying certian pages.

Can anyone give me a answer on this?
I'm so confused I don't even know where to look anymore, I read so many different things...

I am not a lawyer and can not give you legal advice. And its really not a great idea to seek and/or rely on free legal advice on a public forum.

However after working in ecommerce for many years there are the pages I believe are essential.

    PRIVACY POLICY (including cookie policy)

TERMS OF USE -definitely mandatory. And your customers MUST be required to physically check a box agreeing to your terms of service. If they don't then the Terms of use is basically worthless. This mistake cost has cost several ecommerce sites millions $$.

Refund/Return/Exchange Policy- VERY important to prevent charge backs

Copyright Policy - this one is often overlooked but is important if you use any images, videos or descriptions produced by another party.

All the above must be included. I blocked google from crawling them and have no effect on ranking. These pages are important for visitors to prevent any legal issues. Most pages have to be customized to suit your business, and not just using general policies.

This is true. Also be sure to check your state's regulations as some require certain specific information to be displayed (such as California).

As mentioned, privacy policy is essential. But also mandatory for sites that include Adsense. You must include a link (whether menu item or just link in side bar) to your privacy/cookie policy on your home page. It's in the Adsense TOS.
