Hello friends,

I have been running an ecommerce store for the past 1 year. Have been through ups and downs.
I would really appreciate if you take a few minutes and give me a quick first impression review for my online fashion jewelry store - Online Fashion Jewelry Stores | Trendy Jewelry | Fashion Accessories.
Any feedback - good or bad would help me get better in my business and serve my customers.

Thanks in advance.

    Anshu,

First, let me say that your store looks really good. You've put a lot of work into it and it shows.

I don't know anything about jewelry and am not an expert on design and layout. But, I know how to model successful businesses. I suggest you look at gordonsjewelers.com. palmbeachjewelry.com, myjewelrybox.com, thingsremembered.com and a few other sites and mimic their front page layout.

I think the rotating banner on your front page is taking up valuable real estate without pushing a strong message. You might be better off putting your main catagories on the front page with a pic and sale price for each item.

    In any case, I would:

-Drop banner images with words from the rotation and put pics and sale prices of jewelry in the banners.
-Include a piece from each catagory (rings, earrings, bracelets, etc).
-Each image in the banner should include a regular price and a sale price.

Here's a suggested front page intro below the banner:
Mall of Style brings you unique and fashionable costume jewelry and accessories at competitive prices. We scour artisans and vendors for pieces that will set trends, make a statement, and complete your look. We also watch for classy and conservative jewelry that will tastefully compliment your outfits.
Your about us page needs some work. You might want to consider this kind of opening. Folks like to understand who they are buying from and a story is the best way to get your message across.
I started Mall of Style in 2012 because I had a hard time finding unique, high quality costume jewelry that I liked, at reasonable prices. I would find a few pieces I liked, earrings from one store, a necklace from another, bracelets from still another. But I never really found a place were I could get the kind of good quality jewelry I wanted, all in one spot.

It was frustrating because I could buy a necklace from a store and be very happy with the quality. But, when I bought earrings from the same store, they were a disaapointment. They either broke, or the plating was thin, or lost their luster after a few weeks. Most stores were good about exchanging products, not so good about refunds. Still, I wanted the jewelry, not the shopping experience.

So, I spent time talking to vendors and manufacturers and began learning what it took to create good quality earrings. I found out why some bracelets seem to last forever, while others will have clasp or hindge problems or their finish will tarnish or rub off. Eventually, I found that some manufacturers that understand how frustrating it is when the post on an earring breaks or the clasp on a necklace breaks. Their products are well made and well packaged. Other manufacturers are not so concerned. Their products look good, but the main focus is on numbers. I have spent a lot of time selecting manufacturers and vendors who create attractive jewelry and understand that every piece they create is important to the customer that buys it.

My goal is to offer jewelry I feel is attractive, unique, trendy, high quality and competitively priced. If you buy something from Mall of Style that doesn't meet your expectations, you have 15 days to exchange or return it.

I believe in treating customers the way I would like to be treated, and would appreciate your business. If you have suggestions on new jewelry or how we can improve our store, please contact us with your suggestions.

    Thanks for stopping by,

    Anshu Tulsiani
It might be a little picky, but I'd try to find smaller images for the hover tabs in the footer (f sign-in, g sign-in, contact us). Maybe little cubes/squares?

Also need to change the title and url for /balet-girl-crystal-jewlery-blue-p-337.html - it should be ballet-girl...

    Hope that helps,

    Chris

Your main banner ad is too big. I never run a maximized browser window on the screen, so naturally the bottom was cropped. I maximized the window to check the layout, and the ad margin touched the bottom of the screen, with the tabs encroaching on top of it. You need some blank space underneath. Reduce the banner height by between one sixth to one fifth.

Overall, your store looks good! One thing I would change are the banners. They are too big and the two banners with just words aren't appealing. Try to put more pictures of your products in it and/or incorporate a theme for maybe specials/new items.

Your store looks good. I really like the simple design and layout of the store which puts visitors' focus to the product you're selling. I have seen some other e-commerce stores are too colorful with complicated layout/design which is not good in my opinion.

    Good lucK!

I'm so sorry to say this..But my first impression is your site looks less attractive..Actually I run online store too..And I think a well designed or looks professional website really affects to buyer trust..So I think it will be better if you redesign or change your theme/template..

Once again Please apologize..That's just my opinion..

A lot of good comments here already.

I'd also say you need some clear call to action. Once you scroll down past the huge banner you show a few products but there is no real call to action.

Nothing that really draws me in.

I'd be tempted to go with a really strong headline below the banner and then show some stunning images from your various categories with a link to that category - so that it's clear to the user what they are going to see.

I know it's a different market but look at the way the categories are displayed at yoghurtdirect.co.uk - it works well and the click through rate is very good.
